ABOUT US

The Patriot Institute of Journalism and Arts Foundation is a nonprofit organisation where journalism collaborates with arts innovation for grassroots development, civic rights, and justice. The PIJA Foundation aims to achieve its goals via its tripartite project pillars, which are:

PIJA COMMUNITY CENTRE FOR INVESTIGATION
We critically examine several top government policies and their impacts on every grassroots development. This often requires us to go above and beyond to hold political leaders accountable and ensure government transparency.
INNOVATION
We create and enhance journalistic tools to assist journalists in investigating issues that affect underrepresented communities. We organize events, training, and programs that empower journalists and the creative industry to engage in community-driven initiatives for development and justice.
Humanitarian Outreach
We engage in face-to-face community service, forging strategic partnerships to drive impacts.

VISION STATEMENT

We envision a more informed, developed and balanced ecosystem across Africa where democracies are not threatened and community developments are prioritized from the top

MISSION STATEMENT

Strengthening journalism that prioritises the marginalised, civic rights, justice and community-driven issues; fostering an ecosystem that

ignites grassroots development.

OUR OBJECTIVES

To support initiatives that foster mission and build toward achieving our vision. To create strategies and forge tactical partnerships to achieve the first objective.
